Let's dive in the Events Department; today in our column "Borgo Scopeto according to the staff" we talk with Sofia.
Sofia comes from Monteriggioni (Siena), and is our Events Coordinator and has been working in Borgo Scopeto since November 2021.
What is your favorite place of the Borgo?
A unique corner, one of my favorites, is the square of building 9 "Il Borgo", which fully preserves the origins of the Relais.
The most beautiful view or landscape in your opinion?
Without a doubt the view of Siena from the main garden, especially at sunset.
What activities would you suggest that the hotel offers (inside and out)?
For those who love self-care or simply need to relax and disconnect from the hectic life of everyday life, I suggest a treatment at our Spa. Another experience that I definitely recommend is a tour followed by tasting of our wines at our cellars.
Surroundings to visit?
For those who have never been to Siena, I suggest visiting the historic center. A few kilometers from Borgo Scopeto, I recommend visiting San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and the Val D'Orcia area, in particular Pienza, San Quirico D'Orcia, Bagno Vignoni and Montalcino.
Which wine do you prefer from our cellars?
Borgonero is my favorite wine, full-bodied and persistent. It is often my choice when paired with red meats.
A dish from the La Tinaia restaurant?
The risotto with saffron, Maremman buffalo mozzarella, honeycomb and onion is by far my favorite dish.
