Now that our doors are closed and we are preparing for the next season, we want to inaugurate a new column, to introduce you to our team: “Borgo Scopeto according to the staff”; today we speak with the Reception, together with Sarah.
Sarah comes from Florence and is our Front Office Supervisor, she has been part of our team since 2021.
What is your favorite place of the Borgo?
My favorite place in the Borgo is by far the Roccolo, the ancient garden that can be found along the path to the north. It is my place of the heart, magical, mystical, fascinating and where time seems to stop.
The most beautiful view or landscape in your opinion?
The most beautiful view is certainly that of Siena from the balcony of the Executive Suite 115. Magnificent.
Just as wonderful to contemplate and walk through is our cypress-lined driveway.
What activities would you suggest that the hotel offers (inside and out)?
The experiences that I would most suggest are a romantic and suggestive sunset picnic in the gardens of the Borgo and of course a tasting of our own wines, whether in the ancient cistern of the Relais or in the cellars of the property. As well as I would also recommend a tour to discover the Chianti Classico, whether by bike, on a Vespa, aboard a vintage car or a supercar.
Surroundings to visit?
Absolutely to visit nearby Siena, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Montalcino and the Val d'Orcia.
Which wine do you prefer from our cellars?
The wine that most conquered me at the moment is the Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, full-bodied and refined at the same time. A wine of character for sure.
What do you think of the Borgo Scopeto Relax Spa? Are there any treatments or cosmetics you prefer?
Speaking of Spa, on the other hand, I would never give up the olive and sage body cream, fluid, not heavy and at the same time moisturizing and gentle on the skin.
